Can you use my own horses shoes to make a product?
Yes absolutely! We love creating products using your own horses shoes. It makes the finished piece even more personal.
There is no additional charge for a product made from your own shoes. We simply ask that you cover the cost of posting them to us. Please note that lead times may be slightly longer, as we need to allow time for them to arrive before we begin.

Can any of your products be painted a different colour?
Many of our pieces can be finished in a colour of your choice! Some products are sealed with a clear coat to preserve the natural look of the shoe, some are finsihed in black, and others are left to develop a natural patina over time.
If you would like a bespoke colour or finish, we’re happy to work you and adapt each design.
To enquire about bespoke options, please email us on info@notsolame.co.uk to discuss your ideas. Custom finishes may, however, affect the pricing and lead time, but this would all be discussed via email subject to changes.
Do you create bespoke products that are not currently listed?
We are always open to new and fresh product ideas! We love seeing the inspiration our customers bring and would be happy to discuss any concepts you may have in mind.

Are your pieces suitable for outdoor/daily use?
This really depends on which category collection you are looking at. Our homeware and gift collections have been designed primarily for indoor use.
Our Yard & Stable items, Sculptures, and Garden Furniture are created with outdoor settings in mind and built to withstand practical daily use.
Finishes vary between products; If you are unsure about a specific piece, please do get in touch and we’ll happily advise.
What is your lead time?
Lead times vary depending on the size of the piece you order.
Smaller household and gift items are typically dispatched within 7 working days.
Medium items, such as smaller spheres, have an estimated turnaround of 2–3 weeks.
Larger pieces, including swing seats and mounting blocks, usually require 4–6 weeks.
Please note that lead times will be subject to change for bespoke requests or custom finishes.
If you need something by a specific date, feel free to get in touch before ordering and we’ll be happy to advise.
How are larger items delivered?
Larger pieces such as swing seats and mounting blocks are either personally delivered by us or transported via a specialist delivery service, depending on the item and location. This is why delivery charges are organised separately for the larger products.
We take extra care to ensure each piece arrives safely and will confirm delivery arrangements with you directly once your order is ready.
If you have any specific access requirements, please let us know in advance.
Are the seats and mounting block strong enough for everyday use?
Everyday use, strength and stability are fundamental to every design. Our seats and mounting blocks are created to be used, not just displayed, and are built with durability and balance in mind.
While the horseshoes give each piece its distinctive character, the structure goes far beyond appearance. A single weld, when done correctly, is incredibly strong. Each piece contains many carefully executed welds working together. Combined with solid steel framework, the result is a structure designed to feel secure, stable and dependable in everyday use.
